Minority Report (2002) |
I have to admit from the outset that I am neither a fan of Tom Cruise or of Steven Speilberg,
but Minority Report was surprisingly not too bad.
It does though unfortunately contain some of the poncy bits you would expect to see,
more so they can show off than as an integral part of the film
(like Cruise doing a sort of dance to control information on a screen).
The storyline isn't too bad, nor as predictable as you might expect, and it is executed fairly well as a whole (both through the acting and direction). It is also good to see that Minority Report is more about the story than about special effects - the effects more complimenting the story than upstaging it (mostly). The film definitely does not "Blow Your Mind" as the ads claim it will, but it does fall in to the "watchable" catergory - a pleasant surprise for a hollywood flick. |
